Love gives!
January 25, 2012
As I woke up this morning, I continued laying in bed meditating on the Lord and the awesomeness of His Word! While doing so, He began revealing to me that He demonstrates His great love for us by giving! His giving of Himself for us and to us is due to the perfect love that He has for us, His creation!
Now that I have shared this, let me expound on this thought through the revelation of His Word.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 NKJV)
Because of Father’s great love for us, He gives His one and only Son!
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20 NKJV)
Because of the great love that Jesus has for us, He willingly gives Himself for us!
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:16, 17 NKJV)
Because of the great love that Father God and King Jesus have for us, they choose to not leave us as orphans, but to give us another Helper!
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! (Luke 11:13 NKJV)
He will give Him, the Holy Spirit to those who simply ask!
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27 NKJV)
Jesus gives us His peace, not the false peace of the world!
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, (Ephesians 4:11, 12 NKJV)
Jesus gives gifts to His Body, the Church, for the building up of such!
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:5 NKJV)
We, the Body of Christ operate out of the love that has been given to us through the indwelling Holy Spirit!
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. (1 Corinthians 12:7-11 NKJV)
The Hoy Spirit gives individual gifts to members of the Body for the profit of all!
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:2-8 NKJV)
We have been given all that we need to live a victorious, overcoming, more than a conquering abundant life on this side of eternity!
May we humbly receive all that He has for us, so that we may be the sons and daughters of the Most High God that He has called us to be!
Let me share one more scripture:
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:31, 32 NKJV)
WOW, what a mighty, loving, giving and victorious God we serve! Seek Him, know Him, love Him, receive from Him and then share Him with others for His glory and your good! In Jesus Name! Amen!
