Once, for all who will call!
February 3, 2012
As I was meditating on the Word of God this morning, I was reminded of an event that happened to me one day during intercessory prayer. In praying for the lost that day, I began to ask the Lord for a million souls to be born again into the Kingdom of God, yet I felt a check in my spirit by the Holy Spirit! So I proceeded to ask the Lord for a billion souls, and yet I felt another check in my spirit! So as I paused and waited on the Lord, I then felt impressed to ask for every lost soul on the face of the earth to be born again into the Kingdom of God. As I made this request, suddenly I felt the Holy Spirit flood my spirit with a witness of confirmation that this last request is the perfect will of Father God! Immediately I had this scripture come to mind: Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. (Psalm 2:8 NKJV)
I then began to realize that this request came from the heart of Father God since the scripture proclaims: The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9 NKJV) The reason that Jesus has not returned to gather His Body the Church out of this world is due to God’s merciful heart in desiring ALL to come into right relationship with Him.
We must realize that Jesus has paid the sin debt of every living soul on the face of the earth: The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29 NKJV)
That the love of God for all of humanity is why He sent His only begotten Son to die for us: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 NKJV)
That the sacrifice of Jesus was the demonstration of His unfailing love for humanity: But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8 NKJV)
That He, Himself has provided the sacrifice for our sin: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NKJV)
That if our right standing and relationship with Father God could be accomplished through good works or any other means, then the death of His Son was in vain: I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain. (Galatians 2:21 NKJV)
That without Jesus, there is no other way to Father God: Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6 NKJV)
That He is the one who has paid our way to live eternally: And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. (John 17:3 NKJV)
That all we have to do is call on the Lord Jesus and he will forgive us, cleanse us and bring us into right relationship with Father God: For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13 NKJV)
He, Jesus, has died once for all so that you might call on Him and live in right relationship with Father God throughout all eternity! Wow, this is why His grace (God’s Redemption At Christ’s Expense) is so AMAZING! I pray that you will call on Him while you still have breath!
